1) Description :
The NBA 3X Paris Tournament Presented by New Balance (the « Promotion ») is a three (3) on three (3) team basketball tournament with a maximum of four (4) teammates allowed per team and one (1) designated team captain.
The tournament will feature forty (40) teams: twenty (20) women’s teams and twenty (20) men’s teams composed of individuals aged eighteen (18) and over only. The women’s teams constitute one (1) category and the men’s teams constitute one (1) separate category. The two (2) categories will not be required to play against each other.
2) Eligibility :
The Promotion is open to residents of Metropolitan France who are eighteen (18) years of age or older as of June 24, 2023 (each, a “Participant”).
Employees, officers, directors, agents and representatives of NBA Properties, Inc. (« Sponsor »), the National Basketball Association (« NBA ») and its member teams, and NBA Media Ventures, LLC (collectively, the « NBA Entities »), Turner Networks, and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, governors, owners, distributors, retailers, agents, advertising/promotion agencies and team Digital Promotions, Inc., and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, governors, owners, distributors, retailers, agents, advertising/promotion agencies and team Digital Promotions, Inc. (hereafter collectively, “Released Parties”), and each such individual’s immediate family members (mother, father, sister, brother, child, husband, wife and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and those living in their same households, whether or not related, are not eligible to participate in the Promotion or receive a prize.
3) Promotion Period :
The promotion begins at 10:00 a.m. CET on 24th April 2024 and ends at 10am CET on 3rd June, 2024 (“Promotion Period”). Entries must be submitted by 2nd June , 2024 at 11:59 p.m. CET.
4) To Participate :
the Team Captain will need to visit nba.com/3xparis and create an NBA ID or login in order to enter the Sweepstakes, then click on the banners, buttons and/or links to access the promotion registration page. Registration is free. To enter, the Team Captain must submit the promotion entry form in accordance with the instructions provided. Additionally, they will be asked if they would like to receive promotional emails from the NBA. Consent to receive promotional emails is optional and is not required to participate in this promotion and will not affect your chances of winning. Limit one (1) Promotion User Registration form submission per person and per email address for the duration of the Promotion Period. Additional registration forms or entries received from any such person or email address after the entry is received from that person or email address will be void. The use of script, macro or any other device to automate or subvert the registration process is prohibited and all such registrations will be void.
Incomplete entries will not be accepted and are automatically disqualified.
Entries made on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
It is free to register and to participate in the Promotion.
5) Winner Determination :
At about 11:00 a.m. CET on June 17, 2023 (the “Draw Date”), 32 team captains will be selected from among all eligible entries received in accordance with these Rules (as determined by the Promoter in its sole discretion) according to the principle of « first come first served » according to the date and time of receipt of their registration. The first sixteen (16) female teams and the first sixteen (16) male teams registered on the platform will then be selected. The NBA reserves the right to designate four (4) invited teams per category on a different selection basis including one (1) team per category selected by New Balance on the basis of a promotion made separately to the current one and three (3) teams by categories selected by the 20th arrondissement of Paris based upon residency criteria and associative membership (residents of the 20th arrondissement of Paris and/ or members of local associations). Should these spots not be filled on time based on the above-mentioned criteria, then the principle of “first come first served” will come into effect to select the remaining teams and reach the twenty (20) teams required for each category.
6) Notification of selected teams :
Team captains will be notified on or around June 17, 2023 by email to the email address provided during the registration process. Entrants are solely responsible for checking their email inboxes to see if they have been selected.
To confirm their team selection, the team captain must follow and complete the instructions in the win notification email within one (1) day/twenty-four (24) hours of sending the notification email to the team captain. If the team captain does not confirm his participation within this period, the team captain’s claim will be invalid and the Sponsor will reallocate the selection to another team captain selected by lot.
The Sponsor declines all responsibility if you are unable to confirm your selection.
The selection cannot be claimed by a third party on behalf of the Winner. The potential Prize winner (if applicable) will be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability Release and any other documents required by Sponsor within one (1) day of date of receipt of documents. If the e-mail notifying the winner is returned as undeliverable, and Sponsor’s designated agent is unable to contact a potential winner in any other manner, or if a potential winner is not in compliance with these Official Rules, such potential winner will be disqualified and, time permitting, Sponsor will re-award the applicable prize to an alternate winner selected in accordance with these Rules (if one exists).
Prizes will be awarded to the person named on the applicable Promotion registration form regardless of whether that is the authorized account holder of the email address from which said registration form was submitted (subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with the terms of these Official Rules).
7) 3×3 rules in force during the NBA 3X Paris tournament presented by New Balance :
On June 24 and 25, the official rules in force used during team arbitration will be those of the International Basketball Federation, which can be consulted via the following link:

8) Prize :
- 1st place in the women’s category: Four (4) tickets for an NBA game
- 2nd place in the women’s category: Four (4) pairs of New Balance branded shoes and four (4) Wilson branded basketballs
- 3rd place in the women’s category: Four (4) pairs of New Balance branded shoes
- 1st place in the male category: Four (4) tickets for an NBA game.
- 2nd place in the male category: Four (4) pairs of New Balance branded shoes and four (4) Wilson branded basketballs
- 3rd place in the male category: Four (4) pairs of New Balance branded shoes
First Prize consists of four (4) tickets for four (4) people to attend an NBA game (game date, row and seat to be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion). Travel and accommodation are not included in the prize offer and are the sole responsibility of the selected winner unless the match selected by the sponsor does not take place in mainland France. (Approximate retail value of the package = 2000 euros). In the event that the match chosen by the sponsor does not take place in metropolitan France, travel and accommodation will then be included in the price offer (Approximate retail value of the package will then be estimated at 8000 euros).
In the event that the Winner or his/her Guest fail to or are unable to accept the Prize or are unable to travel or participate in any part of the Prize for any reason, the Winner in question will forfeit the Prize in its entirety and, time permitting, the Prize will be awarded to an alternate Winner that will be randomly selected from any other eligible Entrants.
None of the prizes mentioned above can be exchanged for cash.
9) Miscellaneous :
By participating in the Promotion, each Entrant accepts and agrees to accept and be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects.
No transfer, assignment, cash redemption, or substitution of a prize (or portion thereof) is permitted. In the event that any element of the prize becomes unavailable to award, the Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value as determined by Sponsor.
All other costs and expenses associated with the acceptance and use of a prize not specified herein as being awarded are winner’s sole responsibility (including but not limited to: travel to and from the 2024 NBA European Game; transfers to and from the departure and arrival airports; meal expenses; spending money; and travel insurance).
The Released Parties and their parents, affiliated and subsidiary companies and advertising and promotion agencies are not responsible for lost, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled, late, delayed, undelivered or misdirected entries, registrations, usernames, NBA team submissions (including but not limited to the predictions, selections or revisions); theft, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, NBA team; failures or malfunctions of phones/mobile devices (including wireless phones/handsets or other wireless devices); interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP) or other connections; any error, omission, interruption, defect or delay in any transmission or communication; traffic congestion on the Internet or for any technical problem, including, but not limited to, any injury or damage to Entrant’s or any other person’s computer or mobile device related to or resulting from participation in this Promotion; printing errors in any Promotion-related advertisements or other materials; the cancellation, suspension or pre-emption of NBA games, scoring tabulation or timing errors.
By entering, each Entrant agrees that the Released Parties shall have no liability and will be held harmless by entrant for any claim, action, liability, loss, injury or damage (1) to personal or real property, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize and any travel or travel-related activity thereto or participation in this Promotion, and (2) any and all taxes and other fees applicable to the prizes received by the prize winners. Nothing in these Official Rules shall exclude the Released Parties’ liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or for any other matter where liability may not as a matter of law be limited.
The Released Parties, in their sole discretion, reserve the right to: 1) disqualify any person (and void his/her points) who tampers with the submission process, the operation of the Promotion, or any other component of this Promotion, or who is otherwise in violation of these Official Rules; and 2) modify to the minimum extent necessary, suspend or terminate this Promotion (or any portion thereof) should virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes, including but not limited to war, strikes, and/or acts of God, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of this Promotion. The Released Parties reserve the right to halt or modify the Promotion at any time during the Promotion Period if events beyond its control compromise the Promotion’s fairness or integrity.
The Sponsor reserves the right to modify these rules for clarification purposes without materially affecting the Official Rules of the Promotion. This is a Promotion designed to increase consumer awareness of and interest in the Released Parties’ service.
In the event that the Promotion is challenged by any legal or regulatory authority, Released Parties reserve the right to discontinue or modify the Promotion. In such event, the Sponsor shall have no liability to any entrants who are disqualified due to such an action. In the event of any ambiguity(s) or error(s) in these Official Rules, the Released Parties reserve the right to modify these Official Rules for clarification purposes or to correct any such ambiguity or error(s) without materially affecting the Official Rules of the Promotion.
10) Limitation of Liability :
The NBA Entities and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, governors, owners, distributors, retailers, agents, assignees, advertising/promotion agencies, representatives, and agents shall have no liability and will be released and held harmless from any claim, action, liability, loss, injury or damage, including, without limitation, personal injury or death to winner or any third party or damage to personal or real property due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by any reason, including the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize and/or participation in this promotion. In the event that the tournament is canceled or postponed, the organizers will not refund the transportation and/or accommodation expenses incurred by the participants.
11) Privacy :
The NBA Entities collect personal data from entrants when they play the Promotion. Personal data collected from the website is subject to the NBA privacy policy located at http://www.nba.com/news/privacy_policy.html and will be handled consistent with that policy and subject to any specific privacy choices communicated to the NBA. Personal information may also be disclosed to third parties solely to administer the Promotion and award Promotion prizes.
12) ACCEPTANCE OF OFFICIAL RULES :
Participants agree to comply with these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. Winners, by accepting a prize, consent to the use of their name, city and state of residence, and photographs for advertising, promotional and other purposes by Sponsor and its designees (“Advertising”), in any and all media now or hereafter devised worldwide in perpetuity without limitation and without additional compensation, notification or permission, unless prohibited by law. All copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights in such Advertising shall be owned by Sponsor or its licensors and winning participants hereby disclaim and waive any claim of right to such Advertising. Such Advertising shall be solely under control of Sponsor or its licensors, and Winners hereby waive any claim of control over the Advertising content as well as any possible claims of misuse of Winner’s name, likeness or voice under contract, tort, or any other theory of law.

These Official Rules are governed by French law. The courts of France shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear any dispute or claim arising in association with the Promotion or these Official Rules.
